Process From Start to Finish

The drafting and design is done by experienced designers that do exclusive CADD work, however most of them were taught hand drafting. We work with various Architects, Engineers and Contractors, with the goal of doing it right the first time. Designing for your budget, not budgeting for your design. Each project is unique and extensive effort is put in to it to ensure that it meets your desires and code requirements.

This process begins when we first make contact. The initial exchange you will be asked about the site/property, home dimensions, your preferences and design considerations. Considerable thought will be put to your project layout and design. You are encouraged to look through magazines, books, etc. and cut out pictures to better express your ideas. Sketches of potential layouts for your project are also very helpful. We will compile these ideas to ultimately arrive at a floor plan.

Next, we look at the building site/property to determine its suitability for your general layout and design ideas. With this in mind, the floor plan can be developed into a preliminary plan that will be reviewed by you for needed changes, omissions, deletions and/or additions. The plans will then be revised for your approval. The last stage we complete the plans with elevations, sections and details to complete the working construction drawings and documents necessary to be stamped and submitted for the building permit process.
